I works very well and makes my life easier. The convenience means that I will always turn on the dust collector even though it is on the other side of the room.
I had a small padded pouch from a flashlight that I use to store the remote - and the 2 buttons peek out the top. Keeping in mind a previous reviewer's comments, if I drop it, maybe the padding will help protect it.
You can't go wrong at this price and the folks at PSI are a pleasure to deal with.

This is my second Long Ranger, the first one I have had for a few years and it has performed flawlessly.

although I didn't use for a dust collector, It seem to work well. The distance on the remote was good, a little farther than what they said (75'). Seems reasonably well put together.

This is a very good idea. After researching different makes I decided on this one and so far I am not disappointed. It sure beats running to the switch all the time. I keep the remote on my table saw where it is always accessable.

The remote works fine. If it were smaller it could easily fit in your pants pocket; the way it is as far as size, it can easily fit in an apron. Sometimes I just lay it on the table saw fence and press the on or off button as needed. When ripping a full sheet of plywood I'll clip it on my belt or slip it into my pocket. If its in my pants pocket I just feel the outside of my pants for the buttons and press the one desired. I plugged in a 3-way outlet into it's recepticle so the saw and the vacuum both turn on simultaneously. This did not seem to cause any problem with it's operation. This seems to be a good reliable product. I didn't give the five stars because it could have been a little smaller and could have been offered with a second remote in case someone may leave the shop without thinking to take it off.
