P-C Tiger Saw [Posted on 2004-08-03] This is a great tool; one I don't know how I did without for all these years puttering around the house. With the proper blade, this saw does it all!
Porter Cable Tiger Sawzall [Posted on 2004-10-09] The best sawzall I have ever used..I've owned this saw since 1996, never had a problem, other than the powercord had to be replaced..It outcuts all the competion, and I highly recomend it to any tradesman, or DYI.
Solid performer [Posted on 2006-05-20] I have had this saw (older model) for over 10 years now and i never regreted buying it. I am a finish carpenter and i don't use this everday but for once a week i need it - it has always been there and never let me down. i needed to buy another one for my other crew and didn't hesitate buy this newer model.
Unbelievable Saw [Posted on 2007-03-06] This is the first sawzall I have owned so I really can't make a comparison with any of the others. This Porter Cable saw gets the job done in a flash. It is a very powerful saw and will tear through anything. The only downside that I have that I didn't know about when I bought it was that it's NOT Made in the USA, it's actually Made in Mexico. I thought Porter Cable was known for Made in USA tools but I guess they moved shop just like the rest except Milwaukee, which I found out afterwards. It appears Milwaukee is one of the only manufactures of tools that makes tools in the USA anymore. Either way, the Porter Cable saw is hands down a great saw.
Shoe keep falling off [Posted on 2008-05-18] Good power and construction. Not as smooth as the Milwaukee Super Sawzall or as fine of a speed adjustments. However, the trigger feels better than the Super Sawzall, which is too small and exerts too much pressure on the finger. My main problem is with the shoe adjustment, the lever is too loose, rotates to the open position and the shoe falls out every time I use the Tiger. I need to wrap duct tape around the shoe lever.
