Customer Reviews:

Good clamps, but there are better on the market! [Posted on 2000-08-25]
These are handy little Quick-Grip micro clamps have a lot of gripping power for their small size and weight. The ability to use them as a spreader clamp (by reversing the front clamp pad) is a nice feature. I use mine for building small models and the odd little project. These would be great if you are also into crafts, as they are much easier to use than small c-clamps and generally weigh less. The best feature of this product is its ability to quickly adjust/clamp/release single-handedly. The yellow colored rubber jaws are great, dissipating the pressure over a large area so as not to damage your work, and best of all, glue will not readily adhere to them. I've exerted tremendous force with these clamps and have never had one slip or flex/deform under pressure. I have four of these in my shop and find them very useful.

Why did the Quick-Grip Micro's only receive 4 stars you might ask? The answer is simple - the Jorgensen micro "E-Z Hold II Mini Bar/Spreader Clamp" is a superior clamp in my opinion, because it has a greater capacity, is less expensive, and best of all, the front clamp pad is adjustable so you can "balance" the clamp on your project if need be. The E-Z Hold II mini will do everything the Quick-Grip micro's will, only quicker, because, unlike the Quick-Grip, the front pad on the E-Z Hold doesn't require any tools to remove or adjust it. This feature makes the Jorgensen E-Z Hold the superior "small" clamp.

Pressure? What pressure? [Posted on 2004-11-01]
Unlike the previous reviewer I felt that these delivered very little clamping pressure. I own several of the larger Irwin clamps and compared to them this is one very disappointing clamp. I'll keep the two I've got for special situations where a little clamping will do, but certainly will not buy any more.
