THOSE OTHER REVIEWS MUST BE CRAZY OR JUST PLAIN DIRTY... IF YOU KEEP A DIRTY HOUSE THEN I GUESS THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK... ANYWAY THIS PRODUCT ROCKS... I HAVE RECEIVED IT AS A GIFT 4 YRS AGO AND HAVE PURCHASED MORE SINCE... WORKS LIKE A CHARM... I USE ONE AT OPPOSITE ENDS OF MY HOUSE, AND MOVE THEM AROUND EVERY 2 MONTHS... IN THREE YRS I CAN COUNT THE BUGS THAT HAVE MADE IT IN MY HOUSE... (I WONT GO A DAY WITHOUT IT) AND FOR THE OTHER REVIEWS "CLEAN UP YOUR HOUSE"...

Works on roaches for 12 years [Posted on 2008-06-25]
I bought an original from QVC 12 plus years ago. In the coastal south ROACHES are our problem. Before the tree roaches were everywhere (they fly and are 2-3 inches long) and I could not stand it. The original did work. It does not work on ANTS--in my experience, or spiders. I haven't had mice, except for the field mouse the dogs drove inside--and I used rat poison on it. When the bathroom tile collapsed, there were some little black roaches that appeared occasionally, but they seem disoriented and easily killed--and the same for any tree roaches that came inside--YES they still occasionally get inside--after rains etc. I have bought this product for friends and family and believe in the technology, BECAUSE I wanted to rid my home of roaches and it ACCOMPLISHED this task.

There is no wonder why the FTC is constantly going after the company that manufactures these products. They keep releasing them under different names but the fact of the matter is.......THEY DO NOT WORK. There are NO INDEPENDENT studies and there is NO scientific evidence that suggests that EMP (Electromagnetic Pulses)"annoy pests" or "drive them away". None. There is also some concern, based on complaints across the Internet, that the company's financial practices leave a lot to be desired. Remember.......If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Save your money. Save yourself some aggravation. Don't buy this "rip-off" product.

Riddex is great for killing insects and roaches, but only if you don't plug it in. Instead, just throw it at them. Much more effective that way

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY [Posted on 2008-07-08]
I purchased the first units that was put on the market approx. 20 years ago. They were black boxes with long cords. I placed one unit on each level of the house. I have a phobia when it comes to insects, especially spiders,so I keep an Immaculate home. Those first units WORKED. I purchased 2 Riddex's one for each level, and I still see spiders, ants and outside bugs that get in the house. Those old units worked great for ten years + I would love to have the old boxes back.
