Rumors [Posted on 2000-04-20] This product may not be available most of the time, but I would not jump to conclusions. I purchased the display model that Lowe's had. I've had it only a short time so I cannot speak on the durability of the item. It is currently working fine. Shortages might simply be due to the product recently becoming a stocked item for larger hardware stores.
best little laser in lodi [Posted on 2001-01-29] I'm an electrical contractor. I originally bought this tool to help in the layout of several recessed can lights in a large custom home. The self levelling plumb feature and the price are what attracted me at first. The tool does everything I hoped it would and then some. We now use it on commercial jobs for laying out conduit runs and fixture layout. I will probably buy a couple more units because they are such labor savers. My only complaint is that the carpenters and plumbers keep asking to borrow it.
A great value [Posted on 2001-02-11] A great product at one half the price. I use this laser as a plumb bob and it is paid for itslef one job.
Absolutely incredible [Posted on 2001-08-23] This is a great buy (especially at coastaltool.com for $168.00 plus shipping) (-: The beam is a bit difficult to see in the bright sun, but can be found with the included "red laser glasses". Within two hours of dusk we were able to successfully shoot a dot to 200+ feet. The self leveling feature is great. My first project was shooting property boundries on a building lot. The "plumb bob" (downward beam)allowed me to position the level directly over the corner stake and shoot a line to the next corner. We even staked out the position of the house without having to use the old 3,4,5 layout method for square string lines. This is a great tool!!
Excellent For Conveyor and Other Mechanical Installation [Posted on 2002-02-22] I am a Union Millwright and I am extremely happy with my Robovector. It is great for transfering reference lines from floor to ceiling or vice-versa. It is also great for transfering level lines for elevation and marking square lines. A must for all tradesmen!!!
