Really Works! [Posted on 2007-09-27] My husband ordered one of these and it worked so great he ordered a second one. He is a general contractor and does a lot of remodeling in a hospital and in physician offices. He tells me no more sheetrock mess in the work area or on the employee.
YES - BUY THIS FOR SURE!!! [Posted on 2008-01-06] The rotozip is a great tool, but I usually don't use it because of all the dust it raises. I put this adapter on today to route a trough up the plaster/stucco wall to conceal speaker wires into. ABSOLUTELY NO DUST AT ALL! This really worked great for the speaker wire and my wife.
I only wish I had this over the past few years, it would have made my remodeling life so much better.
NOTE: you need an adapter from your shopvac hose to the device and your shopvac needs a hepa filter.
Keeps work area cleaner. [Posted on 2008-04-07] This unit works pretty much as expected. I used it with a relatively powerful vacuum cleaner but some debris was still thrown clear of the adaptor. Repositioning the openings would help.
Even with the minor leakage the dust extractor keeps the work area far cleaner than it would otherwise be. This really helps keep the homeowner happy.
Dust free zone [Posted on 2008-04-15] I run a small handyman business and the hardest thing to do is to keep the dust down while working in someone's house.
I just got this item last week and used it to cut in a door in a very crowded basement, there was almost no cleanup after I was done.
Great accessory for one of my most commonly used tools.
Really Does Work [Posted on 2008-04-15] Like the others have said, it works quite well. When first starting a hole in sheetrock, some dust will scatter, but once you get the bit into the board, there is little dust.
