I use these when I'm preparing meals days in advance. I can chop the veggies, measure the ingredients, or whatever and store them in these until I'm ready to make the meal. It saves a lot of time on those nights when I have no energy or ambition. These are also great to take to work because I can take anything, take the lid off and put the dish in the microwave.

Sturdy, dishwasher safe and very usable. This is a nice quart (liter) size container in the Rubbermaid durable line. They are a good value especially with the 4 for 3 promotion. Put them in your shopping list to buy one or two when you need another $2 to qualify for super saver shipping. These come in a range of sizes in both round and rectangular shapes as well. Despite the occasional variation in the pictures these have red lids like the rest of the rubbermaid durable line.
