You'll reach for it all the time [Posted on 2005-04-01] My dad (a boatbulder) introduced me to pull saws a few years back and I have used them ever since. This is a great commercal version of the classic japanese saw, cuts with great precision and little effort. Perfect for flush cutting or undercutting trim where it meets flooring because of the flexible blade.
I even bring this saw along when I go to lumber yards where you cut your own molding etc. to length. It's light, compact, and faster than waiting for an employee at the power saw!
Shark Saw never disappoints [Posted on 2007-03-15] I've owned a Shark Saw for over five years and have never been disappointed. Perfect for undercutting door jambs, cutting dovetails or making that "fine tuning" cut your worm-drive can't reach. Replacement blades are tuned and sharp, and fit/lock into the handle without complaint. Perfect gift for all skill levels--home woodworker, general contractor or finish carpenter.
great saw [Posted on 2008-01-14] makes a very narrow cut. the blade doesn't bend because it cuts on th pull.
not for use in old lumber like all hand saws it will not cut nails and because the blade is thinner because it doesn't have to stay straight under pressure the teeth bend easily. if you are going to use it on old lumber use a metal detector to find nails.
Useful little bugger [Posted on 2008-04-07] Very sharp, handy little saw. Cuts on the pull stroke, so be careful - the last cut can be a doozey when the blade breaks through and is comin' at ya! Sharp little sucker. Sometimes you just don't want to grab the bigger power saw when all you have is a couple of cuts, and this one is quick and accurate. Don't hit any nails, 'tho, or you'll be buying a new blade sooner than later! (don't ask me how I know that!)
Firstclass saw, works where others don't [Posted on 2008-08-13] Great saw. I love it and use it more than any other saw I own.
I have to buy a replacement blade only because I've used this SO much.
HIGHLY recommended. If I could own only one hand saw, this would be the one.
