Junk [Posted on 2006-06-28] I bought 6 of these for the tools in my shop 6 monthe ago. Casters are bad. I have had 2 wheels crumble. Metal bodies are cheap....STAY AWAY
Total waste of time and money! [Posted on 2006-08-16] At near, but under rated capacity the base sagged so much that the stoppers engaged the floor. I removed the stoppers, but it was still near impossible to move around, probably due to the distorted framework; and maybe the wheels, bearings and castors not being up to the task. The bolts supplied were of the poorest quality; they stripped with the slightest provacation. My HTC bases work wonderful, I regret that I tried these Shop Foxes at all. Grizzly advertizes them as Wood Magazine's "Editor' Choice" so I gave them a try... BIG MISTAKE. Grizzly has their head in the sand on this product. When I asked to send them back, Grizzly wanted me to pay for shipping and restock. I resolved the problem myself by welding the frame together and getting harder stronger wheels at Tractor Supply. Wake-up Grizzly! 0 stars on this product. This product may perform at a fraction, say half, of its rated capacity, but I simply wouldn't trust it, even to be level!
Wheels are not heavy enough [Posted on 2007-04-11] This item is rated to over 1300 lbs. With a 650 lb. machine on it the wheels will barely turn on a concrete surface.

Absolute JUNK!!! [Posted on 2007-08-05] Absolutely the worst mobile base I've ever seen. Typical made in China garbage. I tried to use the base with a 14" bandsaw and the casters were of such poor quality that they wouldn't even role. Grizzly really blew it on this one.
Would HIGHLY recommend the Delta 50-345 Universal Mobile Base that I used as a replacement. SM-O-O-O-TH RUNNING UNIT!!!
Really Marginal for any Serious Use [Posted on 2008-08-01] I only wish I had read the previous reviews before I bought this base. Grizzly should drop the "Super" and "Heavy" from the title. I have a low-end Delta table saw on mine (less than 200 pounds) and the cheap plastic caster wheels disintegrated after just a few months use. Also, as mentioned the metal is thin and poorly fitted and the bolts are cheap pot metal and strip easily.
This base is not suitable for any application I can envision.
