An industrial vac is an industrial vac, right? No, the ShopVac brand is the best. This vac is the perfect size for small to medium household jobs, is easy to manuver and operate. The bag option is great. Would definitely recommend.

This weekend I had a major mess from the giant sized acorns falling from the oak trees in the back yard on my deck. It was difficult trying to sweep them off; and I racked my brain trying to come up with an idea to clean this mess up without scraping the deck wood or leaving residual damage. Voila! I thought of my 10 year old Wet/Dry Shop Vac. What a terrific job it did. It picked up everything (leaves, acorns, you name it). What a powerhouse of a tool.
I remember buying this machine when my basement flooded 10 years ago and we needed something quick before there was irreparable damage. We were not disappointed then; and there have been a million and one uses that we have found for this powerful tool ranging from cleaning up debris from drywall to carpentry projects as well as basement and garage messes. It does them all.
The fact that it has so many uses makes it exactly what you need in your house in a pinch when something happens unforeseen as they often do: either with the plumbing or you have water in your basement from a bad storm, snow melting, rain overflow, a hurricane, etc. This machine or any of the shop vacs would save the day and your property. The problem with life is that things happen out of the blue and you may not have it available when the time comes. With so many household uses, this is a good defensive product to buy for just those occasions.
This product is just not great with the dry stuff; this is a machine that sucks up water so quickly you will be amazed. You will find that you will have to empty the container very quickly; that is how effective it was for us. And then to think of the versatility of this machine to be able to use this same powerful suction for dry debris (like drywall, for basement and garage pickups as well in my case the deck); that to me means you will get your money's worth in no time.
I have had mine for 10 years (all I do is plug it in and flip the switch); and it has saved me a bundle in outside labor costs as well as saving me from having property damage caused by the flooding from a bad storm.
I cannot recommend this product and this manufacturer more highly.

I purchased my shop vac from Amazon a couple weeks ago and have been very impressed with the quality construction and power of the shop vac. No need to get anything bigger or more expensive. Great value. As always I got my unit quickly from Amazon.

Didn't buy this exact unit, but I want to post a good word about this Company. I burned out the motor unit accidentally (my fault) in my Shop-Vac 10-gallon wet/dry vacuum a while back during a cleaning job. The unit was still under warranty. I wrote an on-line service request with a thorough description of what happened and received an email reply within a day or two stating a replacement motor assembly had been shipped! No hassles whatsoever and the part even came with installation instructions. Took maybe 20-minutes to install and I didn't have to return the old part.
Very refreshing to find a company these days that provides great, prompt customer service. I will be a faithful Shop-Vac customer from now on and highly recommend their products.
