Hissing noise is too much [Posted on 2008-12-28] I just brought these home from the store and tried using with my MP3 player. The sound quality is not bad, but the hissing noise is too much. I can even here it in the background during the music. These are going back in the box and back to the store. I suggest you don't waste your time with these.
Not working for me [Posted on 2008-12-30] I don't know if it's just me, but I can't get these to work properly for me. I do a lot of video editing on my dell, and the music bothers my husband who works on his desk in the same room. Thought these were the answer but the hissing is sooo loud, I can't ignore it. I tried everything with the volume, different positioning of the cradle, etc and it's unbearable. Are they not meant for computer use? The irony here is that I laughed when my husband picked up a pair of $13 "protocol" wireless headphones. He's the one laughing now.
I'm not sure why I game them 3 stars, I guess I'm just giving them the benefit of the doubt, after all, they're SONY... the MUST work. right?
Great for the price! [Posted on 2008-12-31] These are a really great set of headphones for the price. The other products over $100 I think can't be much better, IF you just want a pair for the television. If you are looking for something of extraordinary quality for listening to music, these aren't really it. But we use them solely for the tv, and they are perfect!!! Love it!
nice, but foam pads last about 1 week [Posted on 2009-01-02] They are nice headphones as long as the foam ear pads last. Mine last about 1 week. After that, painful on the ears. Look for any others that have leather or vinyl pads. Nice try. Back to the drawing board if you ask me
Great To Go Wireless! [Posted on 2009-01-08] What a joy it is to have cordless headphones. Now I can sit back and relax while watching TV, a movie, or playing a game. What A joy it is to turn my headphones up loud and not worry about my wife or kids walking by pulling out the cord and getting an ear full!
This is my first pair of wireless headphones and I really wasn't sure if I should get infra-red or rf. While rf has better range, I have a ton of wireless devices (PS3, Wii, PSP, Cordless Phones, Cell Phones, Wireless Router, Lab top)so I was worried about interference. Since line of sight and distance wasn't an issue I went with infra-red and I'm really happy with it.
I really enjoy the sound quality and ease of use offered by this headset, plug and play with no hassle. The battery life of the rechargeable batteries is great, I can go for days without recharging them. In that rare case the battery dies out, you can use a single AAA battery that also last for a long time.
The sound quality could be better .... there is a bit of hiss, but I found out that turning up the volume of the TV/receiver and turning down the volume on the headphones takes care of it.
For my first pair of wireless headphones these ain't bad .... TV, movies, and games sound fine. This is a great pair of wireless headphones for the cost, I really enjoy the freedom, ease of use and long battery life.
