I bought and assembled this unit. The previous comments about coming in busted had worried me, but with the reassurances of good returns if busted I ordered.

The unit is as advertised. It went together fairly quickly (about 1 hour), and was not a problem.

My only complaint was in the lock system. It took a long time and a lot of fiddling to figure out how to get the lock assembled correctly. The documentation shows the assembly with the hinge on one side, the side I didn't choose (it supports both).

Anyway, it wasn't completely obvious how to orient the lock swivel and all of the bits. Eventually I did get it together and it operates perfectly.

I am very satisfied with the value vs. price of this product. It's inexpensive, but exactly what I needed to keep the kids out :).

Bought one of these from Dick's Sporting Goods. I bought the pre-assembled version with welds. I got it for $99, same as on Amazon. If you have Bass Pro, Cabela's, Dick's Sporting Goods or something similar, check it out there, same price, less work.

Product is awesome, except, I wish you could buy another shelf and some other foam barrel rests, as I have rifles of different length and would like to have additional storage above them as well, or at least a deeper shelf.

Love my cabinet. was a little time consuming putting it to gether but worth it. now I can keep all my ammo in it. great deal considering that every one else wanted about $35 dollors more. Made the right choice getting it from Amozon.
