If you are not in need of precision calibrated measurements, these calipers will do just fine. I have a few sets of calipers and I was in need of a digital set to perform metric exchange in my lab. All of my required measurements are needed in metric and this one does exactly that with the push of a button. It comes with an extra battery which is nice to have, the case is molded to prevent bumping around and it has a slot for the extra battery. I have been very pleased with the performance of this tool.

I am mostly satisfied with this device. It seems to be easily accurate enough to serve my needs, and it is easy to use.

The only reservation I have is that the cover for the battery compartment slides off too easily, often while I'm trying to make a meaurement. And the spare battery they send you doesn't stay put in the little indentation in the foam in the case, so every time you open the case the battery is floating around somewhere.

I bought this caliper after someone on a fishing forum recommended it for measuring the small parts on fishing reels. I have been amazed at the quality but even more so at the fantastic price I paid for it. Went to my local Home Depot and couldn't find anything even remotely close for this price.
