This band clamp can serve many uses quite nicely but best left to light duty. I used 4 of them for wrapping 24 gauge sheet metal around plywood forms to make a cylinder for a dust collector project and the tension needed to bring the two ends together snapped two of the plastic clamp parts off. The webbing is plenty strong enough but the poorly engineered plastic guides for the webbing are extremely thin and break right off. I think they would be perfect for miter joint glue ups where they don't have to be tightened too tight but if you need serious band clamps use the all metal ratchet styles. I give these 2 stars because they are made in Chxxx so the poor quality is no surprise.
