Customer Reviews:

Best for the money [Posted on 2008-03-28]
I have a review on the SP2 backpack sprayer that you might want to read, as I recommend this sprayer instead. I picked my Stanley up at Sam's for $45.00, and at 1/3 the price of the SP2 and better design features, I would highly recommend this sprayer above ALL others. You have adjustable pressure settings, you can pump it up sitting on a flat surface if you want. and it goes up to 60psi which means, unless you are spraying the tops of trees, it is more than adequate.

Better than Solo Sprayer [Posted on 2008-05-12]
I had a Solo backpack sprayer for two seasons. It never worked nearly as well as this sprayer and I threw it away because so much was wrong it was not worth fixing. I am very impressed with this sprayer. I cosidered the SP sprayer, but the price seemed a little steep and I heard from one user that replacement parts were very expensive. This really is a professional unit. Everything is substantial and it has a brass tip on the spray wand. At the price this is a real deal.

Stanley Sprayer [Posted on 2008-06-22]
The sprayer works as advertised. Easy to use and easy to clean. It is more comfortable than other sprayers I have used, but the fact of the matter is that backpack sprayers weren't really designed for comfort. They were designed to do a job with the least amount of aggravation and this product does that very well.

back sprayer works well [Posted on 2008-07-07]
sprayer works well. It could fit a little better but its not bad. I especially like the spray pattern. I would recommend it.

Works well except for what appear to be manufacturing flaws [Posted on 2008-07-07]
I purchased this Stanley backpack weed sprayer and have sprayed 6 gallons worth of RoundUp with it. I really like it overall, although I agree it feels a bit awkward when you are wearing it. Not uncomfortable, just awkward. I am having two other problems. First there is a very loud and high whining or moaning sound coming from inside the tank. It sounds like it is coming from inside the pressure vessel. The problem is that I like to spray early in the morning since there is less wind then. My house is close enough to my neighbors that I had to stop becuase I was afraid I would wake them up or bother them. The other problem I had was that there was a substantial mechanical 'glitch' as the pump handle is raised. It is smooth throughout the rest of the cycle but as it is raised there is a hitch and a knock that comes from inside the unit. I talked with the company today and they said that this is a new sprayer and that neither the sound or the mechanical 'glitch' was normal and to return the unit and try a new one. I'll update this review once the new one comes.
