Here's the deal. You geta fantastic piece of tool for your money. What is more, you dont end up wearing an icepack on your hands/wrist if you use this baby. The special shock-proofing is fairly effective: and for someone who's used wooden grip/iron grip all my life, I find this extremely useful tool!

I'VE HAD ONE FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS, AND IT'S THE BEST HAMMER I'VE HAD, AND I'VE HAD MANY BEING IN THE REMODELING BUSINESS. THE COMPOSITE SHAFT IS LIGHT YET VERY STRONG. THE AXE STYLE HANDLE, WHICH IS COATED WITH A RUBBER TYPE MATERIAL, IS EASY ON YOUR HAND, AND ALLOWS YOU TO GET A FIRM GRIP,AND DELIVER A SOLID BLOW TO ANY NAIL. THE HAMMER IS WELL BALANCED,AND BECAUSE OF THE AXE STYLE HANDLE,YOUR HAND IS AT A MORE NATURAL POSITION, WHEN WORKING WITH THE TOOL. THE SHAPE OF THE HANDLE FORCES YOU TO GRIP THE HAMMER IN THE PROPER LOCATION EVERY TIME,AND ALLOWS THE HAMMER TO DO THE WORK IT WAS INTENDED TO DO, WITH THE LEAST AMOUNT OF FATIGUE TO THE USER. Forget all those fancy hickory handles and black things. Everybody on the job site used to make fun of my "club" but not after they try it. You'll be shocked how easy you can go from framing to finish work (without hammer marks) and be comfortable with this hammer.
