Great all purpose knife [Posted on 2004-12-31]
This knife is very practical and beautiful too. The knives work well and stay fairly sharp. The screwdrivers are obviously limited to one bit size so they have limited applications. However, the small flathead screwdriver is the perfect size for eyeglasses, as long as you don't lose it. I actually have the blue one which I think looks even better than the one shown, though I don't know how you order it through Amazon. It is a great knife as you would expect from Victorianox.

I have just received this knife and I have to say it is fantastic! I was looking for a knife that had both the corkscrew and the phillips screwdriver on it without a lot of other junk that you really don't use. This fits the bill perfectly! I also love the fact that it comes with a LED light that is quite bright. Also included are the other standard blades, flathead screwdrivers, bottle opener, and can opener. This is a very handy knife to have.

I've owned a swiss army knife for as long as I can remember. I carry in on my key ring. I wanted to het a knife with an LED to save me having a seperate light in my pocket. Although a little larger than my previous knife, it has all the same features but with the extra LED and cork-screw. I can live with the extra size. It still fits nicely in my pocket. You can get a smaller LED knife with just a scissors, but what's the point? You might as well go for a knife with at least a few basic necessary features i.e. large and small blade, screw driver (flat & phillips), can opener, cork screw, mini screw driver.
I will give this 4 stars because I would prefer the same features on a smaller knife, otherwise I would give it 5 stars. Except no substitute - build quality is the best!!!!
