100% junk [Posted on 2006-03-18] 100% china junk if it's true that you get what you pay for than i got robbed! if you want a good bit set at a low price go to northern tool and equipment
Good bits for a great price [Posted on 2006-05-10] These are good bits considering the quantity and quality of the products. The case is nice too. For the $39.99 I paid and free shipping I was well pleased.
Wanted a good deal and got [Posted on 2007-01-10] Super price! Same set as Northern Tool at 1/3 the price wow really cool box and they cut 10x better than my old Craftsman 115 pc set I paid 200.00 bucks for! I dont care were they are made as long as they work and if Amazon sells them they stand behind them! Thanks
Beware: Yukon Tool is posting fake reviews! [Posted on 2007-01-26] Disclaimer: I absolutely despise reviewers who see fit to comment on something they haven't purchased. Despite this, I see no other way to convey to others considering this purchase the unfortunate discovery I've made regarding some of these reviews.
I am rating this item one star in an effort to offset the THREE five-star reviews clearly posted by Yukon Tool employees or supporters. Note that at this time there are only six five-star reviews; these three fraudulent ratings constitute HALF of the strongest praise (I didn't look into any four-star reviews). Cases in point:
1) Horse Girl (Bismarck ND), "Cobalt SmoBalt", June 27, 2005 - This "person" has written five reviews between 2003 and 2005, ALL of them for Yukon Tool products, ALL of them five-star ratings and glowing reviews. (I was personally offended to discover this, because I had come to hold "her" review in high regard when considering making this purchase.)
2) sugar Woods "Sugar Woods" (VA), "Wanted a good deal and got", January 9, 2007 - Has written four reviews, ALL of them on Jan 9 '07, ALL of them for Yukon Tool products, ALL of them five-star ratings and glowing reviews.
3) glen schmidt (CA), "I think the engineer is waving his flag to hard", April 13, 2004 - Has written two reviews, BOTH of them on April 13 '04, BOTH of them for Yukon Tool products, BOTH of them five-star ratings and glowing reviews, BOTH of them address less-favorable reviews in an attempt to refute or discredit them.
This is absolutely pathetic. I'm sure the whole of Yukon Tool cannot be rotten - this is likely the work of some marketing or sales idiot who lacks dignity and any real skill at selling a product - and if I were Yukon Tool I would push to have that individual released and these fraudulent reviews removed.
Absolute junk! [Posted on 2007-07-10]
I thought these would be OK for drilling wood. I don't drill metal often. Boy was I wrong. These are among the lowest quality drill bits I've had the displeasure of working with.
Even the cheap but "name brand" sets are far better.
stay away!
